Day Train
What is Day Train?
Day Train works very similar to a daycare in terms of daily attendance, though it is entirely training based! Instead of open play groups or standard one-on-one care, each day is focused on consistency with training skills and developing new skills. There are drop off and pick up windows in the mornings and evenings, and during the day your dog will receive 3-4 training sessions, walks, and enrichment time in our fenced turf area! Enrichment add-ons such as kongs, lick mats, and treadmill conditioning.
Day train is a great alternative program for dogs who:
- Need to work on consistency of obedience or to advance obedience
- Are too high energy or become overstimulated with group play
- Dogs with behavioral issues that still need mental/physical outlets
- Dogs who do not enjoy the company of other dogs, or have reactivity
- For owners who prefer individual training focus instead of just play
Pre-requisites for day train attendance include Private Training Packages, Foundations Program, or Board + Train!
The reason we carry these pre-requisites is to make sure that your dog is comfortable at our facility and familiar with staff, and that you and your dog have a baseline knowledge of obedience and training goals through previous work with our team! Knowing each dog in our day train program along with their needs and goals is vital.
